Q: It’s been more than twenty years since Star Wars. What is it like to still travel the world and meet fans at conventions?
A: It’s honestly one of the greatest gifts of my life. Every convention reminds me how lucky I am to still be part of the Star Wars family. Meeting fans from different countries, hearing their stories, and seeing how much Shaak Ti still means to them after all these years is something I never expected. I’m grateful every single time.

Q: When you were cast as Shaak Ti, did you realize how big Star Wars was around the world? Did you ever imagine you’d still be doing this more than twenty years later?
A: Not at all. I knew I was joining a very special film, but I didn’t realize just how big Star Wars already was around the world. I certainly never imagined that more than twenty years later I’d still be traveling around the world, meeting fans, signing autographs, and talking about Shaak Ti.
It’s something I never take for granted, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of the Star Wars family.

Q: Looking back, what does Shaak Ti mean to you today?
A: Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate Shaak Ti even more. She represents wisdom, inner strength, compassion, and balance. She reminds us that true leadership doesn’t have to be loud. I think that’s one of the reasons she continues to inspire so many people, especially women and young girls.

Q: What are you working on these days outside of Star Wars?
A: These days, my creative world is very different.
I’m the founder of a luxury home staging and interior design company in Chicago.
Right now, I’m finishing my first book, which reflects my design philosophy. It’s about home staging, minimalism, and how creating space, balance, and simplicity can transform not only a home, but also the way we live and feel.
After that, I’d love to write a very different book about my journey with Star Wars, traveling around the world, meeting fans, and the unforgettable connections I’ve made along the way.

Q: Shaak Ti had several death scenes filmed, but none of them became part of the official films. How do you feel about that today? Do you think it leaves the door open for her future?
A: I think it’s one of the most fascinating things about Shaak Ti. We filmed different versions of her death, but they were all removed during the editing process. Since none of those scenes became part of the official story, her future remains open.
Maybe that’s one of the reasons fans are still so curious about her. And in the Star Wars universe… anything is possible.

Q: Finally, what would you like to say to all the fans around the world?
A: Thank you for keeping Shaak Ti alive for more than twenty years. Because of you, I still have the privilege of traveling around the world, meeting amazing people, and celebrating this incredible universe together.
Twenty years ago, I became part of the Star Wars universe. I never imagined that one day Star Wars would become such a meaningful part of my own life story.
